Generation of Circularly Polarized Quasi-Non-Diffractive Vortex Wave via a Microwave Holographic Metasurface Integrated with a Monopole

In this paper, a novel method for generating circularly polarized (CP) quasi-non-diffractive vortex wave carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM), based on the microwave holographic metasurface integrated with monopole, is proposed. This combination of non-diffraction theory and principle waveguide-fed-based holography equivalent to superposition two scalar impedance modulation surfaces. To verify proposed method, left-handed (LHCP) −1 mode OAM at normal direction, was simulated analyzed. The consisted inhomogeneous slot units grounded substrate monopole excitation. Moreover, location distribution slots determined by computed interferogram between reference object non-diffractive feature. Compared an ordinary wave, obtained our possessed smaller divergence radius stronger electric field strength in 9 times wavelength range. It paved new path manipulating medium distance without using external feeding source, which holds great potential miniaturization devices applied medium-distance high-capacity secure communication, high-resolution imaging intelligent detection.
